Imran Amin, CEO of Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), led a key meeting to review the progress of two major projects: the Walton Road upgradation and the construction of the Celestia IT Tower within CBD NSIT City. The meeting gathered key stakeholders, including Riaz Hussain, Executive Director Technical CBD Punjab, Sameer Aftab Sial, Director of Architecture & Planning, Asif Babar, Director of Construction, Asif Iqbal, Director of Project Management, along with representatives from NLC and NESPAK.
During the meeting, participants discussed updates and future steps for both projects. Walton Road’s upgrade has reached a significant milestone with the asphalt work moving towards Qainchi from Defence Morr. Nearly 500 tons of asphalt were laid in just one day. Additionally, the top slab of the Ishaq Shaheed Flyover is now complete and ready for asphalt application.
In the CBD NSIT City, the excavation for the Celestia IT Tower has been successfully completed. The lean concrete pouring for the raft foundation is progressing smoothly, with the first phase almost 60% done, marking another key achievement.
Speaking at the meeting, Imran Amin announced that Walton Road would be operational by the end of October 2024, following the directives of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz. He also highlighted the role of CBD NSIT City in transforming Punjab’s IT sector, setting new standards for innovation and growth.
Imran Amin stressed the need to expedite both projects, calling for a 24-hour operational schedule to ensure timely completion.
